PRODUCTS FEATURES
Types of Silicone Gel-Filled
All MENTOR® Gel Breast Implants contain silicone gel which is cohesive. The breast implants are offered with three degrees of cohesive filling material: Cohesive ITM (standard), Cohesive IITM (moderate) and Cohesive IIITM (high). The implants come in a
variety of shapes, surface textures, and sizes. Breast implants are available with either a smooth or textured surface. Mentor has a textured breast implant surface called SILTEXTM. Also, implants are available with a single silicone shell filled with cohesive silicone gel or as expander/breast implants with an inner silicone shell filled with saline and an outer silicone shell filled with cohesive silicone gel.
The following is a description of MENTOR® Breast Implant styles. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the different features of breast implants and to discuss the most appropriate type(s) of implants for you with your surgeon.

THE PROCEDURE
How are Breast Implants Inserted?
Inframammary
This incision, made in the fold beneath the breast, is the most commonly used technique for breast augmentation. It offers direct access to the breast tissue and provides optimal visibility for implant placement.

Periareolar
This incision is placed along the lower half of the areola, where the darker and lighter skin tones meet. It can be an effective choice for minimizing visible scarring, though it may carry a slightly increased risk of complications.
Transaxillary
This incision is made in the armpit and can be a suitable option for patients prone to abnormal hypertrophic or keloid scarring.
